AMINA Bank, a FINMA-regulated digital assets bank, has launched a zero-fee banking package specifically designed for Web3 startups and scale-ups, according to the bank’s announcement on Thursday.
The initiative aims to make it easier for businesses to access financial services. Without financial barriers, Web3 startups and scale-ups can focus on innovation and growth.
“Web3 startups and scale-ups often struggle to find banking partners that fully understand the intricacies of digital assets and offer products tailored to their specific needs,” said Myles Harrison, Chief Product Officer at AMINA Bank.
The package offers a range of financial services, including current accounts in CHF and EUR. The bank plans to expand its package to include USD and HKD in the future.
Startups can easily make and receive payments in multiple global currencies, the bank stated. The package also covers Notice and Fixed Term Deposit Accounts, crypto custody, staking, and spot trading services, all without onboarding fees, minimum funding requirements, and monthly fees.
According to Harrison, the new package provides the necessary tools and services for startups to expand their operations and scale. The goal is to encourage growth and empower innovation.
“With the launch of AMINA Bank’s Startup Package, we are not only providing a bank account; we’re opening a gateway to an integrated financial ecosystem that supports both traditional and digital assets,” Harrison stated.
“This initiative underscores our commitment to empowering the next generation of innovators in the Web3 space and the wider startup ecosystem,” he added.
AMINA Bank is recognized as a pioneer in the integration of cryptocurrency services into traditional banking. It has gained a reputation for its innovative approach and robust compliance with regulatory standards, including obtaining a crypto license from Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission.
Discussing the package’s launch, Su Carpenter, Executive Director of CryptoUK, believes it is a positive step toward providing the necessary financial services for Web3 businesses to grow and succeed.
“The key to securing growth, success, and global competitiveness lies in addressing the gaps within the Web3 sector, and we are encouraged to see institutions like AMINA Bank leading the way in creating opportunities for our industry to thrive,” Carpenter noted.
AMINA Bank’s package is specifically designed for early-stage Web3 startups and scale-ups. To be eligible for the package, companies must have less than five years of operation or have received less than CHF 10 million in funding.
