Coinbase exchange CEO Brian Armstrong announced on Jan. 22 that all Solana transaction delays on their platform have ended. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong publicly announced through X that they had solved their slow transaction problem.
Armstrong told us Solana transactions run smoothly, while canceled transactions can be retried. He stated:
“We have triaged the Solana backlog, and transactions should generate quickly again. If your transaction was canceled, you can retry it now. Apologies for the trouble.”
Coinbase Plans Equal Development for Solana, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Base
According to Armstrong, Coinbase exchange must strengthen its systems to deliver better service to Solana’s users after experiencing disruptions. His message outlined better ways to handle Solana’s digital markets, where traders buy and sell digital assets on decentralized platforms.
According to the CEO, Solana will receive equal development care to Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Base. Armstrong said:
“Our goal is to provide tier 1 support for Solana, with the same level of support as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Base (which also saw delays recently due to large surges of activity, btw).”
Solana experiences regular technical problems on Coinbase when trading demand increases rapidly. During the previous weekend, high demand from those buying Donald Trump-themed memecoins overloaded the Solana network, and services such as Phantom, Jito, and Jupiter suffered interruptions.
Coinbase Exchange Users Face Solana Transaction Delays
Users of the Solana platform previously encountered lengthy transaction waits on Coinbase exchange. Coinbase users regularly waited 45 minutes to complete transactions because of wallet and network maintenance problems. New customer information indicates that processing times now hit 21 hours on Coinbase, leading people to doubt their handling of large trading spikes.
The sudden surge in Solana network traffic shows Armstrong that its platform has grown as a digital ecosystem. He assured Coinbase users that the company will enhance network services to eliminate delays during busy times.
